I have had the benefit of working with Social Compass since 2005 on a range of activities that have included, Corporate Social Responsibility, small and large research projects, community engagement, stakeholder management, Indigenous participation and the external evaluation of various company projects. Social Compass has exceeded my expectation on both the content and quality of their work. I am continually impressed by the initiatives they show in getting the balance right between what is correct for our business and the overall community and social outcome. This is a unique attribute that I have not experienced in other companies that work within the area of social responsibility.
At Transfield Services, we are always striving to provide our customers and the broader community with the right outcomes. We are focused on getting the important things right such as being a good corporate citizen, valuing the community in which we work, doing what we say we will do and having our people proud of the company they work for. Social Compass has made a very significant contribution in helping our company achieve these outcomes.
To me Social Compass consists of – Great people, great energy and great results.
(Neil Birtchnell, Group Customer and Community Manager, Transfield Services)
Social Compass has, on a number of occasions, been engaged to conduct Community Assessments of current exploration and future Mine Development Operations within the Northern Territory and Western Australia. Their rigorous research and evaluation techniques and subsequent recommendations have, in my opinion, provided very open and honest information about the nearby communities to which my clients projects are located. Their reports have been well written and constructed and have provided well thought out guidance to our engagement practice of the local community.
